‘Whilst working for North East Water Michelle successfully oversaw and implemented the rebranding of our organisation. Her professionalism, creativity and passion were highly valued and were evidenced in the projects that she led, including our Customer Value Research, our Public Awareness Campaigns and her consultation with and support for the local community. Michelle has the ability to work effectively at a strategic level and also at a personal level, engaging with others to implement strategies across the business. I wish Michelle all the best in building a local business that will enable her to share her expertise with future clients’.
The Communications Dept. recently assisted Greater Hume Shire Council to gather community input to our Economic Development and Social Plan. Michelle designed and facilitated a number of engaging and interactive focus groups to identify the economic and social issues and priorities of communities within the Greater Hume Shire. The focus groups were enjoyed by all community members who participated and the insights gathered will ensure the Shire’s Economic Development and Social Plan reflects the needs of our communities. Michelle’s understanding of regional communities, attention to detail and interpersonal and written communication skills, ensured the quality of both the workshops and the final results report were outstanding.
‘The Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program (AVCLP) engaged The Communications Dept. to manage the promotion and implementation of our $10,000 Bug Blitz Show Us Your Pitch grant program in 2015. As a graduate of the AVCLP program, Michelle understands the communication requirements and needs of business, government and community/not for profit sectors. Her ability to think globally and act locally makes her very versatile and easy to work with. As we are a small but very busy community organisation, it was important that the Bug Blitz project could be implemented with minimal direction and supervision. Michelle quickly became a trusted member of our team, understanding our needs and delivering all requirements on time, on budget and to a very high standard.’
‘From the initial presentation of the City2City RunWalk concept through to the post race debrief, we were impressed by the professionalism with which the event was positioned, marketed and organised. Every aspect of the event was executed insightfully with great attention to detail and consideration of return on investment for the sponsoring organisations. The Hume Bank City2City is an event we are extremely proud to put our name to and we look forward to continuing our partnership well into the future’.
The UN RCE Learning Communities team engaged The Communications Dept. to develop and coordinate the social media marketing campaign and event website for the Flourish Festival, the flagship event of the 2015 Learning Communities project. The quality of the service provided was consistently professional, highly organised and delivered in a timely and personable manner. Michelle was always very accessible and able to work within the constraints of large institutional timeframes and pressures. We were very happy with the results and the quality of engagements achieved.
Having worked for many years in large multi-national corporations, I understand the importance of brand strategy and the impact it has on corporate reputation. Following the purchase of an existing HR consultancy firm, we engaged The Communications Dept. to help us develop our brand strategy and brand identity. Michelle guided us through a brand workshop to develop our value proposition, brand attributes and tag line, and then project managed the development of our logo and corporate style guide, aligned to our brand strategy. We are delighted with the transformation and the brand strategy we have in place is now directing the development of our marketing and communications tools. We move forward confident that our clients have a clear understanding of the value we provide them and that we are building our reputation as professional, experienced and approachable. We highly recommend The Communications Dept. as an experienced marketing consultant, who delivers effective results in a way that is personable and practical for your business.
‘Michelle has a rare ability to operate comfortably and confidently at both the strategic and implementation levels. She takes a pragmatic approach to marketing and communications and the results she achieves can be attributed to her ability to make the complex simple and get things done. Michelle is extremely collaborative, and never loses sight of people and relationships while delivering successful outcomes. Because of her ability to simplify complexity, her stakeholder management and persuasive skills are of the highest order.’
‘Michelle instigated and managed the implementation of the PoolWerx Albury Wodonga store opening promotions. This included direct mail and email campaigns; store opening event; chamber of commerce event and extensive radio, local TV and newspaper coverage. The campaign successfully created awareness and interest in the new PoolWerx store and was rewarded at the National PoolWerx Conference with the Australian New Zealand PoolWerx Local Area Marketing Award’.
‘When Michelle volunteered with Border Relay For Life her enthusiasm, attention to detail, strong work ethic, combined with her calming personality, saw her quickly become a leader within the Committee. Michelle continually achieved her tasks in a time efficient manner, with areas of responsibility including media relations, sponsorship, MC, entertainment and stage management. All pivotal roles in driving the growth of our event’.
